Jim Christie is an enduring lover of all good music. Occasionally falsely accused of being a musician … and some other things! Jim’s World of Jazz showcases selections and chat from the best of jazz from around the world. The Golden Oldies Show is a nostalgic whizz around your favourite tracks from the ’50s and 60s.

Mike Gill is Banchory born and bred … 1951 vintage and he loves music from rock to classical. Mike presents Mike’s Mix which is a multi-genre programme with music, chat, local info and Mike also does birthday, anniversary and special occasion shout-outs to friends, family and FB friends.

Roots and All is primarily a blues and soul show but you’ll get some jazz, folk, country and rock and anything else that takes the fancy of your host, Rob D. There will be some old favourites and some new acts, but what is guaranteed is an hour of great music.

Rob is River Dee Radio’s man up north, presenting his show from a secret location in the Highlands. The program is a labour of love and has been on air since the autumn of 2021. 1960’s soul music was what piqued his interest. From there he went back to explore the Roots of that music i.e. the blues, and suddenly he had the idea for a radio show.

Eileen West presents The Wild West Show, a community programme focusing on local issues and what’s going on around Deeside with interviews and a quite frankly ludicrous mix of great music and a bit of chat.

Ian Stewart presents three programmes: a half-hour 70’s Pop Quiz and a half-hour 70’s Beatles v Stones show. Ian’s main one hour evening show goes under the banner of History of Rock with many sub-themes – Legendary Lost Venues, Festivals, Instruments, Prolific Producers, Session Players, Iconic Labels, Studios and many more.

The BettBros play a mix of old and new, some borrowed but never blue. An hour of music from today and from the past with a bit of brotherly chat in between the gaps.

Dave Alexander is a self-confessed English immigrant since 1991 working in the offshore industry as a consultant engineer. Interested in rock ‘n’ roll since it’s inception in mid ‘fifties’50s Dave has two shows every day. Soul Room at 10pm until 11pm, followed by the Rock Show until midnight.

Minimum talk, maximum music. Who could ask for more?

George MacRae presents MacRae’s Scottish Ceilidh … which does exactly what it says on the tin.

Mike Gill and Mike Illingworth present Mikes’ Country Club.  These local loons both enjoy country music and are a great team. Mike I chooses the Irish country tracks while Mike G picks the American and other global country songs.
